As the Vice-President of Corporate Services at HHCC, I am responsible for operations including Human Resources, Organizational Development, Finance, Health Records and Decision Support, Information Management and Technology, Privacy, Communications and Strategy, Maintenance/Facilities/Biomedical Engineering, Security, Food Services, Materials Management.
I have more than 20 years of strategic and executive and operational leadership experience in finance, pension and group benefits, human resources, information technology and risk management.
Prior to HHCC, I was the Vice-President Operations and Chief Financial Officer for the Canadian Cancer Society, National Office where I guided the development and implementation of the Society’s strategic plan and its annual business plans and budgets. I supported the Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology and Risk Management Portfolios at both the national and nationwide level and was the management leader for the Finance Committee of the Board and the Investment and Pension Advisory Committee and part of the nationwide executive leadership team.
Earlier in my career, I was the Vice-President, Financial and Information Systems at Halton Healthcare Service and worked for the Georgetown and District Memorial Hospital, Madison Chemical Industries Inc., M&T Harshaw Canada and Price Waterhouse where I obtained my chartered accountant designation.
I am proud to serve as a Director at Victorian Order of Nurses for Canada, as well as volunteer on the Board of Directors for Hospice Wellington and previously with the Residences at St. Andrews Georgetown Corporation and United Way.
I earned my Honours Bachelor of Commerce from Laurentian University and am a Chartered Accountant. I am also a member of the Women’s Executive Network, Financial Executives International and CPA Ontario.
I have been fortunate to have travelled to many parts of the world and plan to keep adding to my experiences. Spending time in outdoor activities and gardening is my refreshment!
