Medical Learners

We are passionate about training and education and pleased to say that many medical learners (medical students, clinical clerks and residents), that learn here eventually choose to work here - including a past Chief of Staff and Vice-President, Medical Affairs.

Rural Ontario Medical Program (ROMP)
In partnership with ROMP, we provide medical rotations (opportunities for hands on learning) that include clinical, social, professional and academic study to help medical students, clinical clerks and residents truly thrive. To start your education journey with us register with ROMP.

If you are a Canadian medical learner from outside of Ontario, we ask that you have a connection to the Greater Dufferin Area and coordinate your learning opportunity with ROMP directly. Please note, there is no funding available for studying out-of-province.

If you are an international medical learner, ROMP can assist you with registering with an Ontario University. If you meet the criteria to study here, our Medical Administrative team can help you arrange a medical rotation.

Learn more about learning here from the Dufferin Area Search Committee.

If you are a student, interested in pursuing a placement at HHCC, please view details about our current student placement opportunities.
