As the Vice President, Patient Care & Chief Nursing Executive my focus is on advancing clinical excellence across our core programs and services. My team and I am responsible for all clinical services provided to patients and families at HHCC. As the complexity of care increases with our patients, its essential for our team to continually build their knowledge base and deliver best practices to our community.
Prior to HHCC, I was the Program Director at Grand River Hospital, as well as the Regional Director of the Ontario Renal Network (ORN) for chronic kidney disease within the Waterloo Wellington Region. I was accountable for all renal operations internally, as well as the planning, delivery and performance of renal care services throughout Waterloo-Wellington region.
I graduated from nursing in 1995 from Conestoga College and in my past 25 years, I have been fortunate to have multiple opportunities to develop as a nursing leader through a series of progressive clinical and leadership roles across a variety of organizational, administrative, academic, provincial settings. I feel truly privileged to say I am a nurse and I am deeply passionate about how inspiring, strategic, and influential nursing can be in providing patients and families with holistic, high quality and person-centered care.
