TeleCheck is a free, confidential check-in service to support adults 55+ living independently in their homes. The program operates out of the Orangeville, and has been running successfully for fifteen years. Calls are delivered each day, 8:30 a.m. – Noon and 3:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., seven days a week, by a team of dedicated volunteers and staff.
TeleCheck has 45 volunteers who step up every day –rain or shine, to make the call– listening with compassion and concern for someone else’s wellbeing.
To volunteer with TeleCheck we ask that you:
- Complete a Vulnerable Sector Screen
- Be passionate about affecting the lives of seniors
- Want to increase the social connection of seniors
- Want to support the independence of seniors
This is a great opportunity for those looking to develop new listening and communications skills as well as share wisdom and life skills.
