Jennifer is a Clinical Resource Nurse at Headwaters who has a rich history with our hospital. Jennifer was raised at Headwaters; both parents worked here for their entire careers which spanned close to 40 years. With her mother (Lori) a nurse and father (Jim) a paramedic, Jennifer grew up knowing the hospital intimately including the staff and physicians.
Liz is a member of our Nutrition Services team and has been a part of Headwaters for over 30 years. Liz became a member of the team in 1989 as the Supervisor of Nutrition Services in the Dufferin Area Hospital. Thirty years ago, patients filled out menus and sent them to the Nutrition Office. Meal trays were assembled by a hot steam table service then delivered by Dietary Aids. Everything was manual and customized.
Roughly 20 years ago, under the inspiration of Dr. Barry Engelhardt a local family physician, hockey teams like no other were born. Engelhardt wanted to become a goalie like his son. He had a vision of getting enough local doctors playing to join the yearly “Docs on Ice” Ontario Hockey Tournament.
Carolyn, Laboratory Services, has been a part of the Headwaters team for many years. She started working here in June of 1979 as a Technologist in the lab. As an Orangeville native, this was an exciting opportunity to stay close to home and use all the skills she was trained in (Hematology, Biochemistry, Microbiology and Transfusion Medicine).
