Save the Date: A Beary Fun Tradition Returns to Headwaters September 6
Orangeville, ON. (July 8, 2025) – Headwaters Health Care Centre is excited to announce the return of its much-loved Teddy Bear Clinic, taking place on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Headwaters Health Care Centre, 100 Rolling Hills Drive, Orangeville.
Designed to reduce childhood anxiety about hospitals and medical care, the Teddy Bear Clinic invites children to bring their stuffed toys to the hospital for a fun, pretend health care experience. Through interactive play and guided hospital “check-ups” for their stuffed friends, children learn about medical equipment, health care workers, healthy lifestyles, and what to expect during a real hospital visit.
Juliann McArthur, the Manager of Patient Experience and the lead of the Teddy Bear Clinic, shared, “This event is so special to both our hospital and our community. We work hard to create a warm and friendly atmosphere where children can feel safe while exploring health care. It’s all about making things less scary through fun and helping to spark their curiosity about how hospitals help people.”
In addition to the clinic, the hospital grounds will transform into a lively carnival celebration with a BBQ, exciting games, petting zoo bus, and plenty of hands-on activities for the whole family. This community event is free and open to the public. Nominal fees may apply for food and gift items.
We invite families to save the date and bring along their favourite stuffed toys for a day of learning, laughter, and making memories together.
