Phyllis' Story

Phyllis holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in English from York University, a diploma in Book and Magazine Publishing from Centennial College and a diploma in Medical Transcription from Thomas Education.  

Phyllis joined our team in 2000 as a float clerk where she provided coverage for others as they took breaks. In 2010 she assumed a part-time position with our registration team. 

She has worked alongside many of her colleagues for over 15 years and some for over 20!  

There are countless memories that Phyllis holds dearly from her time at Headwaters. One of her favorites was when she was registering a mom for an appointment and her two-year-old son jumped into the chair after her. He was so sweet in his interaction; his large smile and gentle demeanor certainly made an impression.  

“Every patient is an experience and an opportunity to connect and help,” shared Phyllis. 

The biggest challenge facing this team now is the increase in the volume of requisitions for booking in all Diagnostic Imaging modalities. Phyllis is confident that the team, much like everything else over the past two years, will find a way to adapt and overcome it with teamwork.
