Frequently Asked Questions

How are scans prioritized?

Scans will be prioritized based on urgency and appointment times will begin with dates in September 2025. If a study cannot be performed within the requested timeframe due to the urgency of the request, HHCC will notify the requesting physician/sending facility and return the requisition.

What is the protocol for urgent scans to be booked?

Submit requisition for urgent scans as per the process outlined in the notification letter shared on August 6, 2025. Please also call the MRI Technologist office at 519-941-2410 ext. 2469, highlighting the reason for the urgency. HHCC will work with the physician and office to schedule an urgent scan.

Why would a requisition be rejected?

Requisitions will be rejected if they are missing information, if information is illegible, if the requested scan is not available at HHCC, or if the requisition is sent to HHCC prior to the August 18 acceptance date. Click here to access the MRI Requisition, Additional Information Notification form.

Is HHCC only accepting requisitions from the Dufferin/Caledon catchment area?
