Jennifer's Story

Jennifer is a Clinical Resource Nurse at Headwaters who has a rich history with our hospital. Jennifer was raised at Headwaters; both parents worked here for their entire careers which spanned close to 40 years. With her mother (Lori) a nurse and father (Jim) a paramedic, Jennifer grew up knowing the hospital intimately including the staff and physicians.

She started her career at Headwaters in Dietary Services as a Dietary Aid in 1995, where her sister (Mary) has worked for the past 17 years. She completed her education in nursing in 1999 and knew Headwaters was going to be home because working here meant she was working with family.

As a nurse Jennifer has many favorite moments at Headwaters but the most impactful was when she was a family member of patients. Four years ago, her parents were involved in a motorcycle accident in Florida and suffered significant injuries. The staff team at Headwaters moved quickly into action; finding places for the family to stay, helping arrange to get them home, caring for them for three months as patients and driving them to appointments after discharge. There was never a moment when Jennifer was alone during this tragic time, her Headwaters Family was always there.

Jennifer is part of a tradition of excellence built on family, shared with community and respected by many.
