Message on behalf of Lori Ker, Chair, Board of Directors, Headwaters Health Care Centre
On behalf of Headwaters’ Board of Directors, I’m thrilled to share with you that Kim Delahunt has been selected as our next President & CEO, effective January 1, 2020.
Kim has been Interim President & CEO since early October. In that time, she has demonstrated her commitment to our values and embraced her role providing stability and continuity in the important work we have underway.
She has built and strengthened relationships with staff, physicians, volunteers, donors, the team at Headwaters Health Care Foundation and with our broader community. During Kim’s short time with us she has also successfully furthered the development of the Hills of Headwaters Collaborative Ontario Health Team.
Kim was formerly the Vice President, Health System Strategy, Integration and Planning at the Central West Local Health Integration Network (CW LHIN) where she was a supporter of the hospital and the Dufferin-Caledon community. Kim and her family live locally and are active members of the community.
The President & CEO Recruitment Committee included a dozen people made up of Board representatives from the Hospital and Foundation, staff, physicians, as well as a patient advisor. We thank everyone for their efforts. We expedited the robust selection process to ensure the organization-maintained stability during this particularly important time of change and transformation in health care provincially and within Headwaters. There was a tremendous amount of interest in the Headwaters President & CEO position and we thank all those who participated.
