COVID-19 Emergency Measures By-law in effect in Orangeville

Orangeville Council passed a COVID-19 Emergency Measures By-law to support efforts in minimizing the spread of the coronavirus. The by-law states that while in a public place you must keep no less than 2 metres away from anyone who isn't a member of your household, you must not be seated or standing within 2 metres of anyone inside or outside a business (except members of your household or employees of the business). The by-law also prohibits the use of outdoor recreational amenities. An offence of this by-law would result in a minimum $500 fine with a maximum $100,000 fine.
