Student Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering can also help students develop interpersonal skills with people of all ages and cultural backgrounds. Volunteering will encourage students to become actively involved in making positive contributions to their community. It is designed to promote good citizenship and help make students aware of the role they can play in their community.

High School students (minimum 16 years old) wanting to earn their required 40 hours of volunteer work, one of the Ministry of Education requirements for their high school diploma, can participate in hospital special events: including the House Tour in September, Candy Cane Fair in November and the Teddy Bear Clinic in May.

High School students wishing to volunteer for a hospital Auxiliary event may call the Auxiliary office (519) 941-2410 ext. 2268 for more information.
