Board of Directors Welcome New Family Doctor
Orangeville,
ON, April 6, 2009 – At the March hospital board meeting the Board of
Directors welcomed Dr. Jeffrey Ponke, family doctor to the Department of
Family Practice at Headwaters Health Care Centre. Dr. Ponke is taking
over Dr. Watts' family practice and will be accepting her patients at
his practice.
The Headwaters Health Care Foundation announced the my.hospital@work
campaign will run from May 24 to 30th. To get your business involved,
please contact the Foundation office at 519-941-2702, ext. 2303 for more
information. This year’s annual gala theme is Olé - A Night in Spain,
tickets for the Saturday, May 2 event are $175 each and are available
from the Foundation office at 519-941-2702, extension 2303. The
Foundation is also looking for auction items from local businesses.
The
Auxiliary reported that the annual Teddy Bear Clinic, sharing a positive
hospital experience with children, will be held on May 2 at the
hospital. The Auxiliary is currently recruiting volunteer greeters to be
responsible for greeting patients and providing information regarding
the triage process. The role of the greeter was introduced to provide
patients with a central point of contact who can answer their questions
and direct them appropriately. For information on volunteering and the

The next Board of Directors meeting is April 28, 2009 at 7:15 pm at
Headwaters Orangeville.
