Headwaters Health Care Centre Seeks Board Members
Orangeville, ON, April 21, 2009 - Headwaters Health Care Centre is
seeking
volunteers to join the hospital Board of Directors. The hospital is
governed by a volunteer board that oversees the operation of the
hospitals in Shelburne and Orangeville that provide patient services to
residents of Dufferin County and the Town of Caledon.
“We want to have people sitting at the table who reflect our community’s
diversity including race, age, gender and business expertise and
personal background,” said Margot Hornseth, Chair, Board of Directors,
Headwaters Health Care Centre.
Health care experience is not a requirement. “If you have an interest to
help shape the future of health care in our community joining the board
of directors is an opportunity to get involved, to learn and to give,”
says Hornseth. The hospital is looking for candidates with backgrounds
in leadership, information systems planning, strategic planning or
business management who want to make a contribution.
Time requirements are approximately 8 hours per month, which includes
monthly board and committee meetings. Orientation and extensive ongoing
training and development are provided to each board member.
If you want to make a positive difference in the health care of your
community, please call Cholly Boland, President and CEO of Headwaters at
