To prepare chemotherapy medications in a sterile environment for our oncology patients, our hospital's pharmacy department needs a piece of equipment known as a laminar air flow hood - at a cost of $34,000. Of course, the overriding need for the air flow hood is not simply how vital it is in the preparation of chemotherapy medication, but on a far more human level, we need it so we can continue to treat those in our community who need |
