Headwaters Invites
New Members to Join
Orangeville, ON –
Headwaters Health Care Centre (HHCC) is inviting members of the
community to join the hospital membership. “We want to have people
sitting at the table who reflect our community’s ethnic, cultural, age
and gender diversity, as well as diverse business expertise and personal
backgrounds,” said Margot Hornseth, Chair, Board of Directors,
Headwaters Health Care Centre.
The hospital Board of Directors is looking for candidates to serve on
its Board committees including Finance; Governance & Nominating;
Planning, Community Partnerships & Engagement; and Quality
Assurance/Risk Management. Interested individuals are encouraged to join
the hospital membership.
Membership fees are $25.00 per year for individual membership, spousal
[two memberships] is $40.00 and organization/business membership is
$100. Membership privileges include: electing new members to the Board
of Directors; joining Board Committees; voting on bylaw changes;
receiving special reports on hospital activities; and more.
The Board committees tackle a number of issues important to Dufferin and
Caledon and work with senior hospital management to help the hospital
achieve its goals.
“The committee work
offered me an opportunity to learn about health care in Ontario adding
depth to what for me - and surely for many others - was and is a
superficial understanding of its complexity. Being a member of HHCC and
serving on a Board committee is an extraordinary chance to learn and
give. The work I was involved in had direction and purpose and I saw
measurable progress. The interaction with other representatives of the
community gave me a sense of 'belonging' and motivation,” said
Jorgen
Jensen, member of Quality Assurance/Risk Management Committee from
2004-2008.
Headwaters remains committed to supporting the growing needs of our
community and providing the best access to care locally. We welcome open
honest feedback on our initiatives and continually measure our progress.
If you would like to make a difference in your community please join the
Headwaters Health Care Centre membership. For more information on
membership benefits visit
