Headwaters Appoints New Vice President of Patient Services and Chief Nursing Executive

 

Orangeville – Bob Baynham, President & CEO of Headwaters Health Care Centre, is pleased to announce the appointment of Liz Ruegg to the position of Vice President of Patient Services and Chief Nursing Executive.

 

“Liz brings a wealth of leadership experience to Headwaters,” said Bob Baynham, President and CEO. “Her positive attitude and enthusiasm is contagious. I know Liz will be a real asset as we work together to make Headwaters a great place to work, practice medicine and receive care.”

I look forward to building relationships with staff and the community over the coming months so that Headwaters continues to be known as a leader in health care.”

 

Prior to this recent appointment, Liz was the hospital’s Professional Practice Coordinator. Her responsibilities included overseeing best practice in clinical education, late career nursing strategy, patient safety, and professional practice. She also implemented several strategies to enhance patient satisfaction at Headwaters.

 

Liz received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ryerson University, and she is currently working toward a Masters of Nursing Leadership and Education at Ryerson University. Liz has over twenty years of frontline nursing experience and has held a number of positions of significant leadership and responsibility, including Charge Nurse Obstetrics at the Palmerston District Hospital, Patient Care Coordinator at the Palmerston and District Louise Marshall Hospital Alliance, and from 2001 – 2006, Director of Patient Care at North Wellington Health Care.

 

She is currently President of the Wellington Chapter of the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO) and a member of the Professional Practice Network of Ontario.

 

Liz and her husband Glenn recently moved to Orangeville and look forward to getting involved in local community events.
