Headwaters Launches Patient Email Service

Send a Personalized Message to a Loved One or Friend

 

Orangeville – Support from family and friends plays an important role in patient recovery. Headwaters Health Care Centre now offers a service to allow friends and family to email a patient staying at either Headwaters Orangeville or Headwaters Shelburne. Personalized messages from family and friends will be delivered directly to the patient’s bedside.  

 

“At Headwaters we recognize that patient-centred care begins with positive support from family and friends,” says Bob Baynham, Headwaters President & CEO. “We are pleased to offer our community Patient Email, a free service, which allows family and friends to stay in touch with a patient during a hospital stay.”

 

To send an email greeting, simply click on the Patient Email icon at www.headwatershealth.ca, fill out the form and submit. Your message will be sent to the Auxiliary Office at the Orangeville site. Emails will be delivered during business hours of 9 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday. Messages received outside of these hours will be delivered the next business day.

 

Patients will not be able to send an electronic reply to an incoming patient email.

 

“We would like to thank our Auxiliary volunteers for enthusiastically agreeing to support this new service,” says Baynham. “Our volunteers provide hundreds of hours of service to our hospital each year. This will be yet another way our volunteers will enhance the patient experience at Headwaters.”
