Information for Visitors

Visiting Hours
For patient safety, all emergency exit doors are locked from outside access. The emergency exit doors leading directly off the patient care units will alarm if they are opened from inside the building.

The two doors to the gardens on the lower level can be re-entered from 7 am to 11:30 pm.  At 11:30 pm they will be locked for the evening and you will not be able to enter the hospital through these doors.

Headwaters Health Care Centre encourages family and friends to visit patients at any time. Headwaters’ does not have specified visiting hours. If medical treatment or therapy is necessary, visitors may be asked to wait in one of the lounges. For access to the intensive care unit a telephone is located outside the ICU doors.

When you shouldn’t visit:
For the health and safety of the people we care for, their friends and family, as well as our staff we ask you to follow simple steps including cleaning your hands before entering and exiting all patient care areas, coughing or sneezing into your elbow, and do not visit if you feel unwell with symptoms of a cold, stomach virus or other contagious disease until you’ve been symptom free for at least two days.

For information on situations and alerts that may affect a potential visit, please go to our services disruptions and alerts.
