One of the major pieces of equipment
we'd like to purchase for our hospital is a dual head nuclear
medicine camera. Which is quite a mouthful - but what it does
is simply vital. Nuclear imaging can detect fractures, and,
since it works on the molecular level, it can also detect very early
signs of cancer, heart disease and other diseases, which leads to
faster treatment. And, Obviously, the earlier the treatment
can begin, the better. Such remarkable technology comes at a
price - the cost of the camera is $900,000.
But since it has such potential to
improve - and save lives, we think it's worth it. Don't you
agree?
