Diagnostic Imaging Department
The Diagnostic Imaging department is equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Imaging services are provided on an inpatient, outpatient and emergency basis. Emergency coverage is offered 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In 1997, Headwaters became the first hospital in North America to have a fully digital diagnostic imaging system.
All imaging examinations are performed digitally, which allows the information to be stored by a computer system. These images can be transferred electronically to many areas of the hospital, to your doctor's office or other medical institutions. All electronic transfers, and storage of health information, are performed in accordance within the Ontario Personal Health Information Protection Act.
