The length of your appointment time will vary depending on the type of treatment you are receiving. Headwaters’ Chemotherapy Program is affiliated with William Osler Health System (WOHS). Four Oncologists from WOHS take turns visiting weekly to provide care for active chemotherapy patients, new patients and follow-up appointments at Headwaters Orangeville site.
Look Good Feel Better is a free, two-hour hands-on workshop in which women whose appearance has been affected by cancer and cancer treatment learn how to look and feel a little more like themselves again. Dr. Andrew C. Vermeer Chemotherapy Suite
The Dr. Andrew C. Vermeer Chemotherapy Suite at Headwaters Health Care Centre opened in 2003. The suite was designed to enhance patient comfort while they are undergoing chemotherapy treatment. It includes a private bathroom for cancer patients, a kitchenette to allow for food preparation for patients and families, and audiovisual equipment for patient education. There are six treatment stations and the capacity to add another station when necessary.
The suite is the result of generous financial support from the community, including Dr. Vermeer’s colleagues and co-workers at the Orangeville Family Medical Clinic, Gord Plumridge and staff and students at Centre Dufferin District High School, Gord Davenport Automotive, the Order of the Eastern Star of Caledon East, and hundreds of individual donors.
