How Do I Become A Volunteer?
Individuals, minimum 18 years old, seeking volunteer experience must complete an application form and return to:

Interview: The Volunteer Coordinator will contact you to schedule an interview based upon your preference and available positions. Membership Fee of $5.00 for Adults and $2.50 for Students (minimum 18 years old) must be paid at time of interview. Uniforms must be purchased prior to start of initial shift.
Potential volunteers must complete a mandatory health requirement (two-step Tuberculosis test and immunizations) and provide a clear police records check and two professional references. Contact your local police department to request a volunteer police check - the process takes four to six weeks. A copy of a valid police check must be provided at time of interview.
Volunteer Orientation: Sessions are held every Tuesday at 1:00 pm at Headwaters Orangeville. Meet at the Inquiry Desk (main lobby).
Training: You will be provided with specific training by your Convenor or an experienced volunteer in the area to which you have been assigned.
